Q: What is PAN?

e-PAN is a digitally signed PAN card issued in electronic format by the Income-tax department.

Yes, e-PAN is a valid proof of PAN. e-PAN contains a QR code having demographic details of PAN applicant such as name, date of birth and photograph.   • Check the status of application- whether PAN is allotted or not.
